Timing is everything in Calgary

Well, a lot of people must have been praying for me this week. In the middle of a housing crisis, I found and secured a place to live in Calgary that suits my needs within 48 hours. I'll be a walk from downtown in a safe neighbourhood with access to the light rail etc which is terrific, given I won't have access to a car.

Now, if only the job situation could move almost as swiftly...

Last night Laura was witness to my first Alberta beefsteak dinner. Quite impressive and the mighty kick of iron didn't hurt either.

I'm not feeling well at the moment so more news next time.

For now, Canberra almost looks the same as here (see photo of Civic attached)- but the hailstorm was more violent than our fluffy- snow weather. It is still odd for me, to check the morning weather for what type of snow we're having.

Today- "Snow flurries"
