Magic Moment

The Canberra Area Theatre Awards (the "CAT"s) have a category of award called "Magic Moment". That indefinable moment on stage that defies any other description. My last week in Australia has involved so many of my own magic moments that I wouldn't be able to pick a winner this week.

Honorable mentions must go to the following in no particular order;

1. Ed's response to my rhetorical question of, "what could possibly be better than being surrounded by two good looking women ? (Jess and myself)". Ed's perfectly timed comeback- "Three?"
2. Ammi, "Lisa, have you met my worms?"
3. GK's delight on being informed that after 5 months of hearing "Flaunt It !" on his ringtone at work, I now permanently associate it with him.
4. Throwing farewell drinks at a fake irish pub and lots of friends showing up
5. Ros' and my late night impromptu vaudeville performance of "Make 'em laugh!" and "Singin' in the rain"
6. A pre- Breakfast cuppa tea 7.00 am conversation with Wendy as to why you should always check under North Queensland toliet seats for tree frogs
7. My sister's stunned moment of revelation that I was, in fact, really and actually going overseas after having talked incessantly about it for months
8. Last opportunity for road rage on Northbourne Avenue on a Friday morning
9. Cheering on Tim and Tegan in their alter egos on "Guitar Hero 2" as they put Bill and Ted to shame
10. Last minute shopping trip for thermals at Daymart grannyland in 37 degree heat to please parents
11. Resultant embarrassment from accidently tossing a prawn at Natalie at the Noodle House during a dinner in my honour.
12. Tim's greatest compliment, "Lisa has more culture than yoghurt".
13. Karl's farewell gift, a copy of "Men are from Wagga and Women wish they weren't."

This farewell tour isn't over yet for those of you playing at home. Sydneysiders get their chance... Monday and Tuesday nights.
